Mary has been extremely caring, professional and understanding with me since I have gotten here. She always answers all my questions to the best of her knowledge and if she doesn't know she tells me who can help.
I have been here since Sunday with acute Pancreatitis. This condition is crippling me with pain and it has been the worst pain I have ever experienced in my life. I had been on frequent IV doses of morphine and Dilaudid to help ease pain and the doctor decided to take me off and have solely pill form of pain medicine. This did not seem to help manage the pain as severe as it was. I felt like I was kind of rude when telling her how much pain I was in but Mary was completely understanding and sympathized and acknowledged the severity of my anguish. She said she would do what she could and speak to the doctor about reinstating some more effective pain relief. She has continuously let me know to not hesitate to push the button and ask for her if there was anything at all I needed. She even called my room one time to let me know she was on her way due to being caught up with another patient. She gets to me as soon as she can and never leaves until she knows that I am comfortable and taken care of.
Mary is a true DAISY Nurse for going above and beyond for me and for the compassion and patience she showed me during my stay. You can tell when someone is genuinely concerned in this line of work, I can tell she enjoys what she does and she is excellent at it.
