Mary Beth is a special ray of sunshine. My dad has been with Mary Beth in charge then he went to ICU now he is comfort care/hospice. On St. Patrick's Day she was such a happy part of our day. He loved it when she "Irish danced" for him. Her care of my dad went beyond his physical care. She perked him up, and she showed such love for our entire (nutty) family. Her hugs are the best! She is so genuine and real. Mary Beth came to us the night of her vacation to "pour" her love, prayers, and hugs on my dad and family. We know we will not see her again, but we will never, ever forget her nursing care and her human care of my dad and all of us.

I had just been diagnosed with Acute Leukemia and was not feeling well. There were a number of complications, and Mary Beth was instrumental in convincing the team that I needed the life-saving TPN that I eventually did receive. In addition, Mary Beth befriended me, my wife, and our family and took time to know us, to encourage us, to show joys and sorrows. Perhaps this was made more evident by her visiting us on the second day we were admitted to 5 Center for my bone marrow transplant. For Mary Beth, the job was not done when I was discharged in February but continued even when I was no longer an assigned patient. This type of care, compassion, and healing is exceptional. And for which my family and I are grateful.
