Mary Alice has done many acts of unexpected helpfulness. Once my daughter and I were talking about my Medicare card lost by an ambulance crew. Without saying a word, she copied my card and gave me a number to call to replace it. I asked her if she had heard any tricks to keep the wig from slipping and she said no, but asked to have a lady come down from the sixth floor to help me. She also recommended a makeover. This gesture was very helpful to my morale and I took advantage of it, found very helpful and relaxing. The Monday after Mother's Day I was having a very very low day. On Friday I had a many chemical cocktail (chemo) injected and has having problems. Late morning the phone rang and it was Mary Alice asking how I felt. When I told her, she said to call the doctor right away. To know someone cared enough to call me was impressive. This Friday my port was not acting right, she went to great lengths to get it to work so I could get my chemo. The appearance is that this is not a job. She cares about her patients, and treats everyone to loving, caring and thoughtful gestures.
