Marlis Anker, RN, who cares for children in our Keystone, Johnston and Morningside homes, is ChildServe's first DAISY Award Honoree.
This incredible nurse understands the importance of partnering with families and involves parents in all aspects of their child's health. The children she cares for describe Marlis as thoughtful, caring and always by their side, especially if they are feeling down, sick or anxious. Marlis is also there to celebrate each child's success. One of the comments on her DAISY nomination said, "She always provides dignity for the children while providing care." Plus, Marlis is an excellent educator for the children, their families and the ChildServe group home staff.
Marlis says she considered the DAISY Award nomination an honor and never dreamed she would be selected. "I just love working with the kids. Everyday they make my day. When I walk into their home, they're excited to see me and they make me feel special."
