Today we recognize Marina for making a significant difference to a patient:

"I was in a terrified state, experiencing severe pain and a horrifying angst that my classical violin career was over. Marina came to my side and with her beautiful manner gave me such assurance that I felt as if I was visited by an angel. Marina's attentiveness to me was beyond that of a fine nurse with over 30 years of experience. Her strength and valor brought me to an inner peace that helped me get through the hardest days of my 60 years."

The seemly ordinary acts of kindness were extraordinary to this patient.

This nomination acknowledged Marina for the following:
Making a special connection with the patient
Including the patient in the plan of the care
Delivering outstanding patient education
Going above and beyond the call of duty
Providing compassionate care

Colleagues describe Marina as a nurse who consistently
Emulates patient safety

Goes the extra mile
Does not say NO (is a can do professional)
Is attentive and meticulous to the details ensuring patient comfort
Remains pleasant . . . even when she is having a bad day.
