Mariah Battle goes above and beyond for her patients. I went into labor and went to the hospital early morning the next day. Mariah started her shift at 7 am and she never left my side until she left work that night after 7 pm. She worked with me through my contractions and made me feel so safe and taken care of. The coronavirus had only given me the option of having one labor partner with me which was my boyfriend, but having Mariah by my side made it feel like I had 2 people there who really cared about me and my baby. After she left, I ended up needing a C-section but she came to visit us and hold my sweet boy the very next day. I honestly couldn't say enough good things about Mariah. All I know is I'm going to plan all of my future babies around her work schedule because she's the only nurse I'd ever want to take care of me. She is amazing!!!!

From the moment I walked in for induction I was greeted with smiles from all staff, but one nurse went above and beyond. Ms. Mariah Battle was my delivery nurse for my second birth. I explained my anxiety due to my first born who was not an easy labor and turned out to be a cord prolapse cutting her oxygen supply off resulting in an immediate vacuum extraction. All I remember is all of the nurses rushing in not saying anything and getting my little girl out safely. Mariah understood my anxiety being my second birth. She encouraged me to use the peanut ball, something I was not familiar with to help with induction. Every time she walked in she brightened the room with her smile in one of the most stressful times of my life. When I started to contract more, she encouraged and instructed me on breathing patterns to help. I watched as my son's heart rate dropped with each contraction resulting in me crying worried the same thing will happen to him that happened to my baby girl. She never once left the room during this. Mariah stayed right there by my side, reassured me everything was ok and called the physician to get to the room. She stayed while I pushed to get my little boy safely out and stayed for skin to skin. I could not have asked for a better nurse to keep me calm and be there for me. She was like family and is family in my book for being there and supporting not only one but my entire family. Thank you, Mariah, for all of your love and support.
