Marge has over 30 years' experience and is a seasoned L&D clinician. She is calm in emergency situations and never flinches when a colleague needs her. Marge supports the patient experience by always adhering to our I-CARE values of Integrity, Compassion, Accountability, Respect, and Excellence. She exemplifies what it is to be a bedside nurse. She makes the Birthplace a safe place to bring life into the world. She practices with integrity and a moral compass. She is compassionate especially when a mom/dad suffers a perinatal loss. She displays accountability for her practice and always completes competencies on time and is never satiated with her learning. She respects everyone on the team, regardless of the title. She provides excellent care to every patient, every time.
Marge is the consummate team player, assisting colleagues with their patients and always being there to support the ANM's. She takes charge and is a calming force in any storm. Marge orients new residents and fellows to L&D. She embraces every opportunity to teach and mentor new staff and has a great sense of humor through challenging times. Marge keeps abreast of new best practices in obstetrics. Always eager to sharpen her saw and learn new approaches to care.
Marge is highly regarded and respected, but she gives the same respect to others. She is quiet and unassuming but engaged in every unit celebration and supports all of us in tragedies. A 'pleasure to work with', which is always the consistent theme when thinking of her.
Marge is an exemplary role model as she brings so much warmth and humor to our day. She gets down to the business of work and tirelessly cares for the sickest patients and our most vulnerable newborns.
Marge can smell trouble and her intuition is unmatched. She quickly knows when a dyad is in trouble and gathers resources seamlessly. Very deserving as Marge has never been recognized in her 3 decades in nursing.
