There was a patient that was about to be discharged but continued to complain he was sick and did not want to go home. A day or two before discharge Lynn took care of the patient she watched him all day and realized he was sick. She sent specimans to lab and it turned out the patient had pneumonia. Lynn took care of calling the Doctor the family which I know are every day duties, but she explained to the family in detail what caused the pneumonia how it was going to be treated. Comforted the distraught wife. She made sure to go check on the patient several times a day reguardless if she was caring for him or not. She took time from her work everytime the family came to her with there fears or concerns. She would find the information they needed to better understand what was going on. Her attitude is that they are all our patients and she instills that into her coworkers as well. It makes no difference who is assigned to who if someone needs help you stop and help them. Lynn would open her arms and take every sick person under her wings and care for them if she was able to. She goes above and beyond in everything she does. She would give you the clothes off her back if she thought you needed them.
