I would like to nominate Louise Stroud for the DAISY Award. Louise has been a nurse for more than 35 years and she is an outstanding example of hard work, diligence and true compassion. She is always willing to lend a helping hand with other nurses and even other floors. Her knowledge and expertise in orthopedics makes her a valuable asset to all. Anytime any floor has a question about something related to orthopedics, you always know you can count on Louise to help set something up, fix something you set up wrong, or just make it work without question. Many times she has come over to make sure we are doing ok and we aren't the floor she is responsible for. When new nurses come to her floor they see a hard working leader who truly has a nurses heart. I can say that outside of work her love for children and her fellow workers is second to none. She is always smiling at children and making sure they are happy. She is truly the epitome of what a DAISY Award winner should be - patient centered, willing to give and most of all, she loves her profession with all her heart.
