My life has been lived in and out of many hospitals, yet I have never ever met a nurse as compassionate and as humble as Lissette Camacho. She goes above and beyond her nursing duties. Here are some of the things that make her an exceptional nurse:
Lissette's very attentive to your needs and always asks, "Do you have any questions?" One incident occurred at night, just as she got off her shift. I started bleeding very badly from my rectum; blood everywhere! Her shift was over, but she came back and cleaned me up, along with help from another nurse, calmed me down and made sure that I had everything I needed for the night such as Kotex, Wipes, Disposable Underwear, etc. She even tucked me into bed.
I lost my son in a car accident 3 years ago and I was going through a crying spell. Lissette listened and had so much compassion; she hugged me, and she was just so genuine. Lissette always knew how to put a smile on my face, even in my darkest hours. She explained every test, medication, and procedure to me, in full detail. She's just awesome and I wish there were more nurses like her.
