I got to see her two days, the first day she rounded on me as a nurse leader. I was crying from pain, she calmed me down, she sat next to me on the stool and took my hand. She listened to my problem, she went and spoke to my nurse and called the doctor for a change in pain medication. She asked the doctor for an anxiety pill for me. The second day she was my nurse taking care of me. She came to see me every hour, she explained that she will keep on checking every hour for my safety and to make sure that I am comfortable. My pain under control, my walker and books next to me and always to walk with me to the bathroom. She is an amazing nurse, she is among a few who erased my board and explained why we use it. She was my guardian angel and put my schedule to alternate my pain meds so my pain was tolerable. She did what she claimed she was going to do. We said a prayer together. Even at night, the pharmacy changed my pain medication to pills, she stayed over her shift to call the doctor and make sure to hear back to IV med and gave me the med before going home. She is very special. I felt like I was at home, it felt like I was family.
