I wanted to recognize Lisa Sakamoto for her extraordinary way of care. Even at her young age she has left me speechless and so grateful for her knowledge and skills. She takes such good care of one of my most precious treasures, my son. I will never be able to fully express my gratitude for her care and compassion towards my son and me.

...

When our daughter was in the NICU, Lisa was so kind to me and her father and took exceptional care of our baby. She pushed for the interventions that helped improve her lung function and always worked so hard, and always with a smile. On the toughest day in the hospital, she was a great source of support.

...

My daughter had her baby at 34 weeks gestation. Of course, the baby was admitted to the NICU. The baby weighed 6lbs, 5oz with 9/9 Apgars so I thought everything would go well. The baby developed RDS and it was frightening to my daughter and to all my family to say the least. My daughter was petrified as she watched her baby struggle to breathe. From day 1 to day 3, Lisa Sakamoto was my granddaughter's nurse. I also feel she was my daughter's nurse. She gave my daughter frequent updates always in a way my daughter understood. Her exceptional clinical skills and her compassionate, caring manner, always calm, gave my daughter hope and peace through this extremely difficult time. I can't find words enough to say how much her kindness and her exceptional care meant to all of us, especially my daughter. She was a perfect example of why we are known for our nursing excellence in nursing. She is truly an extraordinary nurse!
