Even though she wasn't my uncle's primary nurse, Lindsey showed a great deal of empathy. She stayed with me in his room and quietly walked me through some pretty tough answers to questions I had asked about his status. I had just driven two hours in scorching heat from my weekend military duty, having no idea what to expect when I got to Providence. I was unable to be reached and had not been receiving any of the family updates as to just how serious the condition my uncle was in.
Lindsey is an exceptional asset to your staff. You know how good someone is at what they do, and how much they care about the people and families they serve, when they are able to give you difficult news and are able to do so with grace and class. She went far and above the call of duty in my book.
I don't know if my uncle is going to fully recover, but if Lindsey's efforts are any indication of the way the rest of the physicians and staff are at Providence, well, I'd say my uncle is getting the best care a patient could ask for.
As I stood there in his room, searching for ways to wrap my mind around the sad state my uncle was in, I felt great gratitude that it was Lindsey who was there to step me through the start of that process. She was a tender, caring, knowledgeable voice at the other end of a wide gamut of questions. Her sincerity was heartfelt and I genuinely felt she could sense the wave of emotions that were probably evident in the types of questions I asked.
She was absolutely fabulous and I just thought someone should know she is truly exceptional…Almost like an angel walking the halls. Her service is a beautiful thing.
Her efforts helped ease my pain.
