We had a patient who was saying he was going to have to sign himself out against medical advice because he does not live in this area. And when he came to the hospital, he had three dogs in his truck. He did not have anyone to come get his dogs for him. Lindsay asked, "What can we do for you?" The patient says, "Take my dogs home and bring my truck back." Someone mentioned a dog shelter in Germantown, Ohio. Lindsay drove the dogs she never saw before. All this after working a strenuous hectic day on a Friday. This goes above and beyond basic nursing care and is deserving of recognition. The patient was able to stay at the hospital to get the care he needs and was able to rest knowing his dogs were being properly cared for. Kudos, Lindsay.
