My husband and I were very surprised when our son was born five weeks early. Being a preemie and having trouble learning to feed, we knew he would have to spend awhile in the hospital before coming home. All the nursery nurses were kind and helpful to us, but Lindsay really went the extra mile for us. When I was confined to my delivery room for 24 hours due to severe pre-eclampsia she arranged for the baby to make a short visit from the nursery so I could see my son for the first time since he was born. During our almost three weeks at the nursery, Lindsay was always looking out for him, even when he wasn't assigned to her. When it was time to spend the night at the hospital with the baby so that he could get discharged, Lindsay was always there to help us get him fed so he could gain enough weight to go home. She taught us a lot about taking care of him and gave us the confidence we needed when we finally came home. We would really like to recognize Lindsay for all her hard work and caring.
