As a new nurse in the Dermatology Clinic, I have been on a steep learning curve. Although I have experience in both inpatient and outpatient nursing, there were entirely new practices awaiting me in Derm! Linda has been a wonderful and patient resource to me. She has assisted me with all sorts of skin wraps and prior authorizations. One day I had been orienting for a couple of weeks and was feeling pretty independent. However, Linda brought me back with a patient and I was truly impressed with the time she took to ask in-depth questions. She asked about how the patient's treatment was going and if all of his upcoming appointments were arranged. The patient was somewhat impatient with her. However, she did not let it rattle her and emphasized how important these questions were and really strove to come to an understanding with this patient so he could get the best care possible.
I was very impressed with the time she took to thoroughly assess this patient and how she remained calm, caring and compassionate toward him despite a stressful environment and less than enthusiastic patient response. She brings this level of caring to work with her every day. I feel very fortunate to work with her and strive to incorporate her teachings into my nursing practice!

I have worked with Linda Frank for 8 years. She oriented me to Dermatology and has continued to be a valued mentor and a key example of excellent nursing practice. Linda's greatest strength is her unwavering compassion and commitment to providing patient and family centered care. She engages with patients and their families in such a way that they look for her every time they return to clinic. She is committed to empowering patients and families to take part in their care. From teaching patients the ABCDE sign of melanoma screening, to demonstrating compression wraps and topical medication application, Linda's dedication to educating patients is evident. Linda recently led the way to help obtain authorization for an expensive and necessary medication for a patient. She navigates complex appeals processes with compassion and fervor. She is an invaluable member of the Dermatology team and I am so grateful to work with her.
