Ms. Brown-Twum served as my nurse for 2-3 days, and her actions were impeccable. She was timely, gentle and especially knowledgeable of the medications she provided. She made me laugh in the midst of my pain. She shared some of her personal experiences and above all, she was very patient with me while I was at my worst. I needed someone to work with me and care about my feelings and she did. Finally, she even went out of her way to make sure I ate and had a laxative that wasn't available. I feel that I made a friend during my short stay at HFWB.

Nurse Linda is the hardest working person I have ever met. She promises help and follows through. Most people think this behavior is expected but when you are on the receiving end, you'll quickly find out this is not the case. One example is the other day, fresh out of surgery and late in the day, she wanted me to eat something before the kitchen closed. She placed my order and as 8:30 approached, nothing was coming. She got on the phone, tracked down my order, and went into "action". She found my dinner went to the wrong room. She located my dinner and unopened. She saved the day for me and my recovery. When I'm under her "motherly wing", I relax, knowing she will follow through with all my needs. Thank you, Nurse Linda.

I would like to tell the staff at the Henry Ford Hospital thank you so much for having people like Linda on the floor to help patients when we're sick. I truly feel that you have gone out of your way to pick the very best. She has taken the time to do extra things that other hospitals don't do like a warm blanket or ice water and a smile. When I was in a lot of pain, she was extremely patient with me and made me feel better. In this, I'm truly grateful. Unfortunately, I've been in too many hospitals in the Detroit area due to my legs and I can say your hospital and staff are second to none.

Sometimes at night when you're experiencing pain, there are some people who will help manage the pain and go above and beyond to make sure your needs are being met. Nurse Linda is definitely one of those people. She has gotten me through some rough nights and made me forget that I was in a hospital. Her bedside manner is wonderful. I would hope that if I ever face a situation like this in the future, I have a nurse who is as compassionate as she is. I was originally supposed to be sent to another hospital, but nurses like her are the reason I would choose to receive service again from Henry Ford Hospital of West Bloomfield.

Being a pain patient, we usually get looked at and lumped in with addicts and looked down upon because I take opiates to have an average, livable life, not to get high. Linda never made me feel like an addict but treated me as a person who is in real pain. She never looked down at me when I ask for my meds. She is a great nurse and caregiver. At one time on Sunday, she was taking care of two rooms at the same time and never short cared me or my neighbor. More nurses need to come to work with the outlook, care, intelligence and personality of a caring nurse to look after patients.

Linda was and is a great, caring person and always there for my care and needs. She always has a smile on her face. Linda, thank you for everything and for a wonderful stay here.
