Libby frequently goes above and beyond her daily duties to comfort and care for the preop surgical patient. She has taken her own initiative to provide "special note cards" for the patients that are overly anxious, fearful, have difficult diagnosis (surgery for cancers) or difficult personal/family situations (no family/recent death of spouse). She delivers these handwritten personalized note cards and visits the patients preop their day of surgery just to give an extra hug/encouraging word/friendly face. She will also make sure to attach a special "sticky note" to the patient's chart sharing extra information/special needs the patient's share with her during their PATC interview. She is frequently named in patient's follow up letters/cards for her extra kindness and compassion that she shows them. Some recent comments are: "was excellent and caring", "Libby is an angel, her personal card meant so much to me", "Everything was top notch from the beginning to the end. We will never use another hospital again".

Libby is always gentle and kind. She can always be counted on to have a positive attitude.
