Laurie went above and beyond, providing us with extraordinary care and support. Not only did she assist us with our everyday needs, she was super proactive and always provided us with ideas on how to move forward in our baby's recovery. Laurie always took her time to explain what was going on, especially when doctors were confusing. She showed us that she really cared about us and the well being of our baby. She showed commitment and expressed her curiosity in our baby's diagnostics, which was very difficult. Doctors were unable to diagnose our baby. Even when Laurie wasn't our nurse, she stopped by and checked up on us. She's been with us from the start. She knows our full story and can vouch for our baby's progress throughout the last 7 weeks that we have been here. We often expressed our ideas and thoughts to her and she was very honest and always straightforward. Even when it was bad news, she knew how to deliver it to us, with a sense of hope. She always knew what to say and her knowledge of medicine is amazing. Laurie is on a mission - she's here to take care of the sick and wounded, and show care and compassion, understanding how hard it is when someone you love is seriously ill. With Laurie's help, we were able to survive our 44-day stay at the hospital, sane, and intact.
