Laurel Brown was recognized by a patient for her willingness to take time to listen and explain and for her ability to make the patient feel valued.
"... When Laurel came into my room, from the get go, she attended to everything I needed. She explained everything that was going on with my medications and procedures. I am going through an especially hard time in my personal life. She took time out to sit and listen to what was going on with me as I cried. I felt I was at the end of my rope. She helped put things in perspective with no judgment. Let me tell you, I felt a peace I didn't feel before she hugged me. This young woman is amazing! I was so impressed with the care she gave me and the time she took to actually listen to me, made me feel that I mattered!"
