I have been in the hospital many times and nurse Laura is the best caregiver ever. She came into my room, sat down beside the bed, took my hand and asked, "Would you like some ice cream?" She then went through her standard checks and asked, "is there anything else I can get you?" I laughingly said, "Yes, I have been craving a sour pickle". I have been unable to eat solid foods. At noon she placed a giant kosher sour pickle on my tray. I enjoyed half! These are only two examples of how special and caring Laura is - frequent check-ins "How are you feeling?" and many other times she patiently listened and provided reassurance. She assisted in working with care management for my discharge. My wife said, "Nurse Laura puts a big smile on my face whenever she comes into the room." She gave me assurance in answering all of my questions and concerns.
