Laura Denton is a great and conscientious nurse. She is very knowledgeable and a great source of information. When you work with her you always learn something. She is thoughtful in her work and expects the same from her co-workers which makes those who work with her want to emulate her. When it comes to patients and their families, she is very caring and reassuring. Today as she was talking to a patient's daughter who did not understand why her mother was acting the way she was, Laura explained to the daughter in simple lay terms and with compassion. The daughter was so grateful and stated "I understand more now. Thank you and thank you for all you have done for my mom." Laura was in the middle of meds pass, but she did not seem to be in a hurry. She listened to this daughter for over 30 minutes, reassuring her. Laura is a professional and a great asset to Gero.
