When I came on to Ward C29 I was surprised how the staff treated patients. They were amazing and wonderful. For almost all of my life, I have been scared about going to the hospital but I've now changed my mind.
From the first moment I arrived at the Queens Medical Centre hospital to the time I left, I know that I was lucky and they gave me the best care. They give me a lot of good vibes, hopes, physical and emotional treatment.
I gave birth to my baby by Caesarean section at 33 weeks. I was told by one of the doctors that my little one was sick and needed to have an operation. I was shocked and cried a lot.
The nurses helped me with everything. That's what made me feel positive again and start thinking about what was best for me and for my baby.
All the staff here gave me support. One of the staff, Laura Booth helped me to leave my bad emotions, she said that the best thing that I could do was to only think positively and give good milk (breast milk) to my baby.
Laura gave me Jasmine oil to help my milk express. It was amazing. I felt like I was in a spa, so it was really helpful for me to relax.
I have good memories of a dinner lady. She was an absolutely funny, friendly person. She came to my room to take my order on my meal and if actually I was absent she would know what I liked to eat and chose perfect dishes for me.
Everybody in Ward C29 is so friendly and they smiled all the time.
