... "my step-son accidentally shot himself while cleaning a gun. He was at MMH ICU for about 1.5 days awaiting transport to St. Luke's in Houston for maxillofacial repair. Larrah exhibited kindness and compassion. She carefully explained everything that she was doing in a way that he would understand. She was attentive and never seemed bothered by being asked for anything - no matter how minor. I have worked at MMH (an MD) for 28 years and she is one of the best nurses I have ever encountered."

Larrah is described by her peers as being a caring, compassionate nurse who came on board to MMH being very engaged and involved with her patients and co-workers. They state that Larrah is dedicated and committed to lifelong learning. She is often noticed acting as her patients advocate. They state that she is definitely an asset to the team.

Because of Larrah's compassionate and caring efforts, her patients experience a level of care that exemplifies the impact nurses have in creating an environment where patients and families feel at home.
