Kristine taught me as well as helped me set up a good plan to use my PRN pain meds. For example, stay away from Dilaudid unless pain is terrible. I feel I won't do what I need. Mainly for me, I use those to make sure I cough and don't hold back due to pain and take the Norco every 4 hours as a regimen then the next day try to go 6 hours in between to slowly ween off or go to Tylenol for discomfort. This way, I will already be used to little or no toroidal or Dilaudid. I can drop down the Norco to Tylenol. This also pushes me to try to walk as far as I feel comfortable and so much more. There is so much to write. Her knowledge and guidance were appreciated.
