I have countless patients who tell me it was thanks to Kristina's advice, time and caring that they were able to make it through their chemotherapy. She is an angel they tell me.
***
Kristina gives excellent care, love, and compassion for all her patients. She shows love for her work and love for her patients. She goes above and beyond to care for patients and their families. Kristina is very compassionate and kind with all of our patients. She is very comforting to them as they go through a difficult time.
***
Kristina demonstrates a particular finesse in the relationship she has with patients. No matter the date, time, or person, she consistently expresses such a high level of compassion and accuracy. If my family had a medical issue, I would feel honored to have Kristina care for them.

From the day I met Kristina, she has been a remarkable nurse. She takes her time with each patient and truly cares for each person. There was a worried patient at my checkout and Kristina eased her fears and held her hand. She even walked with the patient to the ER. She ensured that the patient was not only taken care of but felt at home. Kristina is the kind of nurse I dream of being one day. A true role model for the staff at MCI. She makes a difference with every patient she encounters.

We had a young patient who had already been diagnosed with breast cancer a year before she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. She had recently moved from NY to Miami and had recently become engaged. The patient was very emotionally distraught following her new diagnosis. Kristina made herself available to the patient. She was incredibly emotionally supportive of her, guiding her every step of the way. She would go see her while she was receiving chemotherapy. Kristina was definitely there for her at times when I could not be. Kristina is an amazing asset to our team, MCI, and Baptist Health. Her knowledge of cancer, chemotherapy, and all that is involved is vast.

She makes a difference to not only her patients but also to fellow nurses here at MCI. There was a very difficult patient who pushed an employee to tears one day. While she took a few minutes to compose herself, Kristina stayed with the patient to de-escalate the situation. The employee was truly grateful for Kristina being there.
Having seen Kristina in action with her patients, I know there are probably dozens of other stories of her kindness, compassion, and knowledge that haven't been written. Thank you, Kristina, for all that you do!
