Kristin was nominated by a mother of two pediatric patients.

Having a three-year-old son and one-year-old son means that I'm constantly calling Pediatrics on Windsor. Whether I'm in their office for a well-baby visit or calling to figure out the soonest my sick child can be seen. I always feel relieved when Kristin is the face I see or voice I hear. She takes the time to notice the super hero shirt my son is wearing asking if batman is his favorite and why. She talks to the baby, and tells him what she's doing- almost as if she expects him to respond- starting when he was just a few days old.

When I'm sad, or scared, or don't know what to do because I can't get a fever down or vomiting and diarrhea to stop, Kristin is calm, level headed and asks the key questions at the key times. I never feel rushed or that my issues are insignificant when working with her. As I mom, I second guess a lot of the things I do. Did they get enough veggies, did they wash their hands- but one thing I never have to second guess is the quality of care or level of compassion I receive when working with Kristin. When your child is sick- a friendly voice, reassuring conversation and a promptly returned phone call are the things that make all the difference in the world. I'm proud to say Kristin does all of these things and more.
