Kristen happened to be the last and the BEST in-home nurse to care for my mother. Kristen was one of many in-home nurses who cared for my mother over the last 10 years. She cared for my mother as if she were her own mother. She was kind, compassionate, professional and very comfortable to be around. Kristen felt like family. On an occasion or two, she 'dropped everything' and rushed over to treat my mother. She was always on time for her appointments. Kristen was equally concerned about my dad's well-being. He was my mother's caregiver. Kristen demonstrated helpful tips and shared valuable resources that were available to help him shoulder the burden. Kristen made herself readily available and kindly offered her phone number, so we could call if we had any questions/concerns. She was a comfort to talk to on Mom's last day. Kristen also thought about the pets. She generously (and smartly) brought handmade (by her young daughter) toys to distract the pups while she visited. Kristen's care and thoughtfulness have carried through this past year - my dad received a Christmas greeting wishing him well. It was all our pleasure and a gift to have had such an excellent nurse and wonderful person care for my mother for the last 6 months of her life.

My grandma was here for about 4 weeks. Prior to coming here, she was in SICU in Trenton for 12 days. Our family was terrified for her to come here, considering the severity of her TBI. Everyone here was strangers and we were not sure what to expect. Kristen, however, welcomed us with open arms and made us feel at ease. She instantly connected with my grandma and the entire family. Her positive upbeat personality and hospitality helped us through the tougher times. She was extremely comforting and just the right amount of personable. I believe she has gone above and beyond for our family and we appreciate her more than we could ever say!

My mother was admitted after a devastating fall and 12 days in SICU. My entire family was traumatized! At this time, she has been in this unit for 4 weeks. Each day here, she has shown progress and we know it's because of the amazing team of nurses, therapists, and doctors. However, there is one who stands out with my mom's stay here. Kristen has gone above and beyond for not only my mom but our entire family! She made us feel so welcome and important. She would make my mom laugh during a time when it was very rare and far between. She treated her and us as more than just another patient and family. She was never rushed, always had a smile on her face and extremely sincere and compassionate. It just came naturally to her, never faked or forced. She would even come in our room when she wasn't our nurse, just to check on us! My mom would say "she's not our nurse right now, is she?" I would tell her "nope, she's just saying hi and seeing if we're okay." Kristen would also get genuinely excited about my mother's daily progress. She made her feel so proud and accomplished. The care she gave and showed my family was amazing. Thank you!
