I have been a nurse for 41 years and taught for 20 years. I feel like I know what it takes to be a good nurse and Krissy wears that title well. She is outgoing, efficient, mature, competent, and caring. I know that is a lot of adjectives but I feel like they all describe Krissy. I have stayed 4 days and had Krissy as my nurse 3 of these 4 days. She introduces herself, is on time with my medications, she actually got my blood sugar before meals which is the way it should be done and she explained everything she was going to do beforehand. I did not require a lot of nursing care but there seemed to be a lot that did have a higher need on that floor. Krissy always made sure my needs were met in a timely fashion. She did not delegate care such as getting me ice, working the TV, and many other things preferably not in her job description. She would also come by just to see if I needed anything. Krissy has the potential to be at the top of her field. I felt I needed to recognize Krissy for the wonderful care she has given.
