"Kirsten Hensler continues to be a wonderful nurse for our sweet six year old son. When he first started coming in for chemotherapy, she dressed up in a doctor's coat and scrubs to match his little dress up costume, which made him feel like he had a friend here to comfort him. Then weeks later as he began to lose his hair, he wanted "Nurse Kirsten" to be the one to shave his head, and she gladly did this for him. Kirsten sets the bar high of being joyful and kind, in selfless service to both our son and to our family. She has been especially helpful to me, who has a heavy load to bear by not only being pregnant and the mother of 3 children, but having to watch my son endure cancer treatments sitting and sleeping in uncomfortable bedside furniture night after night. Kirsten routinely goes above and beyond to make sure we are comfortable and have everything that we need. She has become a dear friend to the family because of the quality of care she has provided to our dear little boy!"

"Kirsten is funny, understanding and compassionate. We never have to call her for anything because she is always there. She explains medication thoroughly and she always checks to see if we need anything."

...

"She is excellent and knows her work. She cares greatly for my nephew, making sure he was comfortable. We just love her!"

...

"She's a great nurse and she knows what she is doing. She is funny and always tries to keep me laughing. Some nurses just give you the medicine and leave, but she explains everything and I appreciate that!"

...

"She's wonderful!"

"The day Kirsten was our nurse, my son was having the hospital blues. She came in and cheered him right up by talking to him, fluffing his pillow and telling him that everything was going to be ok. She knew how to give him meds the way he wanted, half and half, with water in-between. He hated when her shift ended, asking "where did Kirsten go?"

...

"All of our nurses have been really amazing. They have been so helpful to us while we have been here. Nurse Kirsten has been exceptional. She goes out of her way for us and it is really appreciated!"

"Kirsten was such an amazing nurse. She took wonderful care of me and did whatever she could to make me comfortable. She was so sweet."
