Kimberly is excellent because she is always there when I need her. My son's life is so busy with so many doctors and appointments, she keeps all his doctors together, all in line, and all in sync. If I need something she quickly gets it taken care of. If I need to get a doctor visit she gets us right in. If I feel something is wrong she either fixes it or finds the resources to help me. She got me out of an abusive relationship with my ex-husband and the father of my kids. She helped me get back on my feet to get everything more organized for me. Without this lady, I am nothing, she treats me like we are family and my son and daughter love her. She goes beyond the job title and duties, she is an amazing person and I am lucky she is in the lives of my children.
When I first met her, she received information from my son's doctors and she asked me if there was anything that she could do to help me. I explained my situation I cried and she helped. She's like my second brain, she helps advocate my son's needs when my word isn't getting across to the doctors. She listens, she talks to me like I am a human being, she breaks things down that are confusing to me.
Once a month she calls with details of my son's visits to the hospital for the month, the times, locations, and reasons for visits. If it is something new she explains why we are doing this and how it is helpful. If it is something I am unsure about she schedules time for me to come talk to her face to face and gives me the information. She keeps me updated on yearly appointments as wells as immunizations or follow-ups.
Just today I came into the Hopple Street Clinic after trying to get my children's medical release papers. The receptionist at the front told me it takes 3 days to get this information and to come back then. Kimberly heard my voice, saw I was crying, hugged me and got me taken care of right then and there because she knew what those medical releases really meant to me and my son. She sat me down after giving me the medical release information, and she asked me how things were going at home, how my son was doing (he just broke his arm) and told me to call and update her with what the doctor said on Thursday because she wanted to know.
When she sets up my son's care plan she sits with me and we come up with a yearly plan for my son. We put together goals that we would both like to see him hit, with all the doctor's appointments and methods of how we can achieve this. She gives the best advice on what to do for my son. She acts as if she is his family and that makes me feel good. I don't feel out of the loop anymore with her in the picture. I am truly thankful for the amazing person she is.
