Kelly MacDonald was recognized by her patients' families for her great communication and advocacy.
"My Grandma had been on the Critical Care floor for two weeks before meeting Kelly. I was impressed with how thorough Kelly was. As a family member, it can be disconcerting to have so many people cycling in and out of the medical team even though we completely understood it needed to be that way. Kelly took her time combing through my Grandma's records, asking her questions and listening to her answers. My Grandma also hates the unknown. I think that what happens to her day to day in the hospital might be as unnerving as having terminal cancer. Kelly took time to explain everything. She was efficient at her job but never rushing or making my Grandma feel like there wasn't time to answer questions. She empowered my Grandma to make decisions about when to get out of bed, etc. We very much appreciated knowing that such a thorough RN was advocating for our family member in a time of such uncertainty."

"The days that Kelly was Dad's nurse, he would say, 'I have my favorite nurse today!' I watched her work with my Dad to understand why she was his favorite. My Dad is hard of hearing and she would always face him when communicating. She visited him often making sure he was comfortable. I so appreciated her excellent service!"
