Kathy was an angel in disguise leading W through the valley of the shadow of death, carefully, thoughtfully, quietly, gently, and lovingly.
My family and I want to thank you for the excellent care W received over the past several months. It can be a trying and stressful time, but your Hospice team was always available, looking after W, as well as helping and encouraging me.

Especially, I want you to know how unbelievably important Kathy Johnson was. Her years of experience were combined with meticulous care of W. No need was left unaddressed. In addition, she conveyed to me her quiet compassionate thoughtfulness, explaining the process of dying, guiding me step by step, and lifting up my spirit with great love.

She has my deepest appreciation. In the middle of the night thinking how better to phrase my feelings, I honor her. She was an angel in disguise leading W through the valley of the shadow of death, carefully, thoughtfully, quietly, gently, and lovingly. Did she go above and beyond? Yes.

It was a slow journey. Once she told me at 11 am to go upstairs to our apartment, eat and rest and not come down until 3 pm. Then she walked me to my door to be sure. My daughter came over and added, ''Take a walk too, Mom." Such care nourished and revived me.
The physical care of W kept him comfortable. There was alertness to any pain or change that needed correcting, along with active hands-on care. Hours spent off the clock. There was instructive monitoring with CNAs, nurses, and staff with constant follow-up.
How can I describe the gratitude in my heart when someone cares for the one you love as Kathy did?
