Hearing that your child has been diagnosed with Infantile Spasms can be incredibly scary and difficult. That’s exactly how a 5-month-old patient’s parents felt, yet there was a bright spot to their situation—Katie Langas. In a letter to Children’s, the little girl’s mom shared that Katie provided outstanding care and trained her how to give her daughter medication injections at home.
“She gave good care to our baby girl and to us. She spent lots of time answering our questions, helping us get sleep and making our daughter comfortable…She never made us feel like a bother. Katie made a hard time much more bearable.”
This is just one example of Katie’s willingness to provide more than just medical care to her patients. She provides compassion and comfort, as well, which is just as important.
