Kaitlyn took care of my mother recently. My mother was very sick and on a ventilator. She was very attentive to her needs, took care of her blood pressure when it was really low and was very kind when speaking to her. She was constantly checking on her and updating me on her vital signs and medications. She kept my mom comfortable and held her hand when she was scared. She even took the time to comb through my mom's hair and braid it. That made my mom very happy. Even when she did not have my mom as her patient, she came in to talk to me and my husband and hold my mom's hand to reassure her that she was doing ok. She also took the time to sit with me and explain things so I could understand what the doctors were talking about. I am not sure I would have gotten through her time here if it were not for her kind words and encouragement. It was obvious that other nurses looked up to her as they came in to ask her for help frequently. She was always willing to help others which shows a lot about a person's character. Even when she was really busy with other things, she always took great care of my mom and I appreciate her commitment to helping her get better. She is a genuinely kind person and she has compassion for miles. I hope you consider her for this award as she truly deserves recognition for the fantastic care she gave my mom.
