I was at home for 4 weeks and struggling. When I came to the hospital I was in serious condition, terrible pain, couldn't eat, sleep, or walk, having blackouts and feeling weaker. My family rushed me to the Emergency Department and I was admitted to 8 Lime. Justine came onto her shift. I knew she was busy, however when she looked at me, it was as "if she knew me". She introduced herself to me and told me she was going to "take very good care of me". Here I was feeling so sick, I was praying for help and for someone to help me and Justine walked in.

She put her hand on me and told me everything was going to be all right. She explained she was going to give me medicine and my pain started going away. Throughout her shifts, Justine's presence, caring and reassurance was just what I needed. I don't think I would have made it without her. I felt as if I was in the best hands. I will never forget her.
