I was recently admitted for an abdominal abscess that needed to be opened to drain and then packed to allow the wound to heal from the inside out. It was arranged on discharge that I would go to the wound clinic. Jolene worked very hard the day of discharge to make sure my insurance would cover the visits. The wound center is very busy right now and Jolene came in on a day off to make sure I got a dressing change that week. Jolene used a product that has never broken apart before on me and, of course, it broke apart. She spent about an hour making sure that she got all of the packing out of the wound and even did research on her own regarding the packing falling apart. She called me with my culture results on the weekend and started me on more antibiotics by notifying the doctor to make sure my infection is completely gone. She has gone above and beyond to make me comfortable with my care and make sure that I heal properly. Jolene is an amazing, caring, and selfless nurse.
