My dad got ill in April 2011. Since then, many changes have taken place over the years. John has been with us since the beginning. John is very thorough with his exam. However, it is NOT only the fact that John is intelligent and explains things in great detail (like the process in which his lungs work, or the way when one swallows and the opening and closing of the valve at the end of the esophagus operates), it is the COMPASSION he has for the patients. His main concern is my dad. He looks at him and talks to him. He listens to his response, they communicate with each other and have a profound understanding of their relationship. John will ask how he is doing, since his last episode of pneumonia. He is on top of the changes in his body, physically as well as mentally. I will ask his opinion of an upcoming change in my dad's life and how he thinks we should tell or explain it to my dad. John seems to nail my dad's reaction right on the head. John is a regular guy, who can relate to any veteran and their family. He has an extraordinary personality, along with his intellect and humor, enables my dad to be the caring individual he is today. His experience and knowledge have brought my dad to us and many others. John has many more exceptional qualities, it is difficult to write them or express them all. John is real and sincere.

John is always available to answer our questions or concerns. He takes them very seriously and is very quick to respond! He gives us peace of mind in keeping my father (92 years) home with us. He truly invests himself in my father's care, explains things clearly. Most importantly, we truly know he is on our team, doing what is right for my father.
