Jo has always been absolutely awesome with our 2 year old daughter who has been through at least 40 blood draws since she was diagnosed with Autoimmune Neutropenia in October of 2011. Jo has always made sure to go above and beyond the call of duty, both while we stayed in the hospital during her diagnosis and our many subsequent visits.

Many other nurses have tried and failed while drawing our daughters' blood, but not Jo. Just one poke, every time. Now for a child who has undergone a lumbar puncture, bone marrow biopsy and ear tubes, as well as ongoing treatment with subdermal medication twice a week for over 14 months, one poke makes all the difference.

Jo's skill and expertise in phlebotomy is phenomenal. I actually dread our monthly visits when I know Jo is on vacation. She is quick and precise, barely causing our daughter any pain during the blood draws. Our daughter loves her and knows her by name. She has really touched our lives.

So thank you Ms. Jo Schneider, for all you have done and will do. For taking the time to get to know us, to make us feel validated in our struggle with this disease. You truly are amazing.
