She continually demonstrates professionalism, promoting family centered care with a good attitude toward staff, families and physicians.
While providing education she meets on the level of the family, assures she answers any questions, and documents so that those following her know where the education plan is currently. In critical situations she remains calm, quickly anticipates needs and gathers supplies which may be needed for the next step, while assuring someone is attending to the family. She is competence clinically in extremely stressful and critical arrests or difficult deliveries. When a infant is deteriorating she is observant and notifies physicians timely.
Jill promotes skin to skin time for new mothers with preterm infants, assuring they have a comfortable chair, privacy and the infant is warm and clinically supported.
She demonstrates excellence in patient care maintaining current competencies reviewing current journals and education materials.
Physicians trust in her ability to provide excellent patient care to the tiniest, sickest neonatal infants. Jill is very supportive in updating policies and procedures using current evidence for improvement in nursing care. She is an advocate for change with EBP on developmental care, infection prevention with central lines and promoting family centered care.
