I was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit at Jefferson Neuroscience with a brain bleed. My care in the Intensive Care Unit was exceptional in every way. The doctors were skilled and caring, yet forthright, explaining every procedure, its necessity, and its possible outcomes. They answered questions patiently and thoroughly. I would like to recognize the nursing staff of the Intensive Care Unit, in particular. I had six nurses during my stay, and yet, my patient care was absolutely seamless. Every one of these nurses was a highly skilled individual who demonstrated compassion and concern. They consistently eased my anxiety as well as that of my family through their kind words and competent actions. They, too, answered all concerns with honesty and thoughtfulness. They made this very traumatic event far less frightening and much more understandable. I would also like to recognize the technicians and aides for their kindness, competence, and excellent care. All of these people work as an amazingly supportive team, one that makes a critical hospital stay much more palatable. Their knowledge and ability, combined with their compassion, reflect true excellence. They deserve to be commended.

I am one of the administrative charge nurse on 7 Center. I wanted to take the time out to let you know about my recent experience at JHN. I was unexpectedly admitted to the NICU where I spent 5 days. I was diagnosed with a dural sinus thrombosis. It was sudden and extremely scary. The fear of the unknown overwhelmed me. However, the NICU staff was incredible. Every single staff member from the attending physician, residents, nurse practitioners, nurses, dietary and environmental services treated me with the highest form of care. Their kindness was unmatched. They spent time with me answering all of my questions and reassuring my concerns. I am so thankful to have received such great care. I am so proud to be a nurse here at Jefferson knowing that our patients are receiving such outstanding care. I would like to recognize the staff that cared for me.
