Jessica is so special for many reasons. My daughter is 14 years old and a patient of hers. She has been so terrified of getting her surgery and the aftermath of it. Jessica was so patient with her and spent time explaining everything she was doing and why she was doing it. She would go out of her way to make her comfortable and tending to her every need. Every time my daughter got sick, she would get cold towels and ice and rubbed her head down, and talked calmly to her assuring her she would be ok. She was always in tune with our needs and exceeded all expectations of the care provided. Jessica did not just take care of my daughter she CARED about her. Our experience was so pleasant due to having a nurse whom you know is doing everything she can for your daughter. She is just a beautiful person inside and out and I know she is a perfect example to all nurses of what it takes to be at her level. She takes pride in her job and it shows. In a nutshell, she was our superhero for the couple of days we stayed at Children's. Thank you for having a first-class nurse who cares. The whole department was great, they all showed teamwork and helped each other out. It makes a difference and shows that your hospital takes care of its own.
