Jennifer went beyond the call of duty to provide remarkable clinical care combined with the utmost sense of human kindness during my dad's recent long and trying stay after a challenging post-recovery from a lobectomy that crushed both my dad's health and emotional spirit in a difficult way. I am an only child who was raised from birth by my dad after my mother died due to complications of Pre-eclampsia, and as such, my dad and I are not your ordinary father-daughter team, we are each other's rock and have always been there to care and respect for each other. My dad's time of post-recovery was very scary for both of us. I felt helpless in not being able to properly understand all the details in how to best help him and I was heartbroken by watching him suffer in pain. The experience of being in a hospital for such a long time can be confusing, daunting, and scary. It is Jennifer who dispelled the sense of fear we experienced at every corner/every stage of the recovery (even when she wasn't my dad's assigned RN for the day!) and brought remarkable light and care to his stay. Her attention to detail, her caring and respectful interactions with both my dad and me (and my husband) were genuine and meaningful beyond words. I recognize what a tough job RNs have and how difficult it must be to keep your heart full of light in the middle of working with sick people, but Jennifer is one such nurse who is able to. She is special! She is doing God's work. She is full of a remarkable sense of commitment, calm, strength, and duty that goes way beyond the ordinary duties of a nurse, she is a rock star nurse! Please honor her, she's an absolute asset to TMMC and the entire nursing field. People like her deserve to be appreciated. Thank you, Jennifer, and thank you TMMC for hiring her!
