Congratulations to Jennifer Harr-Murphy, RN from branch 213 in Lombard, IL! Jennifer has been with the branch since January 2010 and was on contract at Northwest Community Hospital from May 2010 to June 2011. During her contract, she worked on a variety of units. However, the Cardiac Surveillance Unit in particular held Jennifer in high regard. Surrounded by her family, MSN leadership as well as nursing leadership from Northwest Community Hospital, Jennifer received her DAISY pin, award certificate and hand carved Shona sculpture entitled “A Healer’s Touch” on the Cardiac Surveillance Unit.
Jennifer Harr-Murphy just completed her yearly evaluation with NCH and I wanted to share with you what they had to say about her:

From the beginning, Jennifer showed much enthusiasm and eagerness to learn the role of an acute care RN here at NCH. She demonstrated that she was not only clinically competent in her nursing skills, but excels in many areas. Jennifer is always knowledgeable on her patient’s plan of care, takes initiates in meeting the patient’s needs, quickly identifies issues, and presents well during interdisciplinary pt rounds. She is not only professional in her work, but flexible and easy going among her co-workers and the needs of the unit.

Jennifer keeps customer service at the forefront and it is recognized by both her patients and staff. She communicates well with the charge nurses of the unit and uses her resources appropriately. Jennifer is well liked by many staff members, and her team work and humorous attitude is appreciated. NCH is truly lucky to have someone like Jennifer working here and caring for our patients.
