Jennifer Fannin, LPN has been an employee at Pine Meadows Post Acute for 2 years caring for our residents. She has been an LPN for 28 years. During her time at Pine Meadows Post Acute she has gained the respect of her residents, families, and co-workers. She has been recognized as a fair and honest individual who takes pride in teamwork and being a team player. She is willing to assist her co-workers and residents by always being willing to answer lights, assist residents with meeting their needs, and she is always willing to listen to her co-workers, residents, and families.
She received several DAISY Award Nominations which portrayed her as being helpful to everyone, always exhibiting a gracious and positive attitude, and spreading a ray of sunshine with her smile. Jennifer was described as an Extraordinary Nurse who always went above and beyond on a daily basis and even after hours. She was described as giving 110% every day. All her co-workers, residents, and families know her by name and she goes out of her way to put a smile on their faces. She provides extra attention with detail to her most complicated residents and ensures all the residents receive the quality care they deserve and is a true nurse leader. She leads by example and mentors new nursing staff. She has also volunteered her personal time and donated countless hours and money to make a resident's day.
Jennifer has been said to have a remarkable sense of patience that many of our dementia residents need when they are fearful, inconsolable, and most of all overwhelmed with their transition into a new environment. Jennifer has a unique way of bringing peace to those individuals and putting them at ease. She is also willing to take on leadership and strives every day to make sure the residents get optimal care with the highest level of dignity and respect. If she witnesses one of her fellow employees struggling, she immediately lends a helping hand and kind words regardless of the job. She is a great role model and preceptor for all the nursing staff and nursing assistants she encounters. Everyone who meets her and gets to work beside her every day is truly blessed and honored to do so.
