My family received a call informing us that my brother had an accident and was admitted to the hospital. Jennifer filled us in on his condition. The whole time she took care of him she treated him and us with such compassion. She talked to my brother any time she touched him despite him being in a coma. Jennifer knew that none of us had left his side. At the end of her shift, she left the hospital and went to buy us hamburgers. That act of kindness alone was so thoughtful and above and beyond her job as a nurse. The next day Jennifer was my brother's nurse again. We told her stories as we laughed and cried together. My brother's prognosis wasn't good and Jennifer talked us through all our questions related to organ donation. The following day, my brother passed and became an organ donor. Jennifer took the final walk with us. She was there with us until the very end. She made some of the hardest days of our life bearable. Her kind heart for her patients and their family definitely put her in a class of its own. Some nurses are angels on earth and Jennifer is one of them.
