My mother in law died, however, Jenn provided an extraordinary level of care. For example, she demonstrated professionalism while providing care for my mother in law. She never stopped and was juggling thirteen medications to support my mother in law. She asked us to step out when procedures were possibly emotionally intense and rubbed my wife's shoulders when we were at the end for my mother in law. Jenn never had anything but a positive attitude and seemed to be devoted to us although I know she had two other patients. Her compassionate and clinical expertise was beyond exemplary! I notice things and I noticed such actions as taping a tongue depressor on one end, (in its package) to the bed rail to help organize the multiple med lines supporting my mother in law. She checked and double checked each medication my mother in law received and logged in into her patient log. Jenn provided a realistic assessment of our prognosis and was supported by the physician as the day went on. Finally, as my mother in law progressed towards her inevitable death, Jenn was with us every step of the way. Consoling, encouraging and informing us like no other. She provided a -realistic- vision of hope that should be the goal of the entire hospital staff. At the very very end, Jenn assembled several others including the Charge Nurse, the nurse specializing in the airway, and an RN we knew from a previous visit to surround us with such a touching support team, that we felt warm and secure at the direst of times. And finally, when my mother in law died, it was Jenn who came in to console us, to explain the next steps in our end of life journey. I do not know how she does this shift after shift but I thank God we found Jenn! Thank you, Jenn!
