Jennifer was the ICU nurse working when I took my 2 step-daughters in to say "goodbye" to their biological mother. Not only did Jennifer explain so much to an 8 and 10-year-old, but she also took the 8-year-old and sat on the floor and cried with her. Jennifer displayed a level of compassion above and beyond and she deserved a standing ovation at the end. Please, please, please make sure that her compassion and her willingness to get on a confused child's level and sit with her is rewarded. Jennifer is a true example of a quality nurse and one that I'm proud to have met under difficult circumstances. Please, let her know how much she is appreciated and what an impact she had on my little girls' life.
