A professor was hospitalized during final exam week and was anxious about getting a comprehensive exam to his colleagues and then to his students. Jennie sat down with the patient, pulled up the material on a computer and helped him complete the exam in time to get it to a colleague. Most individuals would shy away from anything that had to do with Physics. However, Jennie jumped right in and made it happen because it meant so much to the patient and relieved an enormous amount of stress for him. With this taken care of, he could focus on getting better. The patient was very appreciative of Jennie for going above and beyond. This is just one example of how Jennie lives the mission of SwedishAmerican and connects with her patients. She is a leader and consistently sets a positive example for her colleagues.
