One night I saw a situation where Jayme went above and beyond. She is a hardworking nurse in the ER who continually rises above and stands out. On this night, for instance, she showed her true character. The lab department was in a great need. We had a call-in that night and were left with one phlebotomist in charge of covering the whole hospital. She saw that the lab was trying hard to keep up, but was falling behind due to the hospital's heavy workload. She lightened the load of our one phlebotomist and took over full responsibility for collecting blood in the ER. It may not sound like much, but it made a big difference to the lab, to the ER, and to the whole hospital. She showed me what really matters to her that night and that is patient care.

Jayme went above and beyond to help me out with drawing labs on the patients in the ER while I went to the floor to get caught up. We had a call in and I was the only one here to draw labs for the whole hospital and it was a little crazy that night. She saw how much I was struggling to keep up with the ER lab draws and the floor lab draws so she took it upon herself to help me out by getting all the ER lab draws while I went to the floor. She is a very hard worker with a great personality and willingness to help anyone she can when she can. She has also helped me out many other times. She puts patient care first.
